Research Assistant
This position reports to the Vice President of Operations for PRO Consulting, and will have close working relationship with Chief Science Officer, and Chair of our Scientific Advisory board as well as personnel in Product Development and Marketing.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Conducting empirical literature searches and reviews regarding pharmaceutical clinical trials, research methodology, biostatistics, Quality of Life literature and other areas as needed;
- Aid in the development and execution of PRO Consulting internal research projects;
- Help prepare, and potentially attend, presentations for scientific conferences and other meetings;
- Assist in the building of a research/operational infrastructure to support the work of PRO Consulting’s scientific teams;
- Work with VP of Operations to oversee various metrics and report system for PRO Consulting group (eg., personnel utilization, milestones;
- Assist in project oversight when needed (e.g., manage timelines, interact with clients;
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- The successful applicant will have research experience in behavioral medicine, health psychology, epidemiology or a related field. As the successful applicant, you should:
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and have 2-5 years of academic research or clinical trials experience;
- Have strong grounding in clinical research methods including a basic understanding of statistics;
- Willingness to learn new software and qualitative and quantitative methodologies;
- Have skills in MS Office with an emphasis on Excel manipulation;
- Have outstanding verbal and written communication skills;
- Be able to multi-task relative to working on multiple teams on various projects and under deadline conditions;
