Conference Overview
PROficiency™ 2010, the 3rd annual Patient Reported Outcomes Conference, hosted by invivodata, will be held April 28-30, 2010 at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort in beautiful Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
The term proficiency is defined as “the advancement of knowledge or skill”, which is the focus of this conference. Biopharma companies can no longer simply “consider” using patient reported outcomes, but must think about “how to” best measure patient reported outcomes. This conference is an ideal setting for better understanding the “how to’s” of PRO. Attendees will come away from the conference with more understanding and knowledge to help them:
- Better differentiate their products by incorporating PROs into the early strategy and endpoint planning phases of their research programs.
- Understand and comply with the final FDA guidance on the use of PRO in the development of new medical products into their clinical programs.
- Identify, select, and develop PRO instruments that are “fit for purpose” for your specific program objectives.
- Seamlessly incorporate ePRO into clinical trial operations to reduce paper, increase efficiencies, and improve the quality of PRO data collected.
CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS
PROficiency 2010 will feature general sessions and breakout sessions led by biopharma professionals across various tracks covering patient reported outcomes in biopharma development strategy & planning, clinical trial design & execution, and regulatory submissions. The tracks are focused on practical and actionable information that attendees can use to create and drive PRO strategies and initiatives to better incorporate the patient perspective in your research to achieve research objectives, better differentiate your products, increase trials efficiencies, and meet regulatory expectations.
Regardless of your role, patient reported outcomes has some impact on it. And by networking and learning from each other, PROficiency attendees will better understand the bigger picture and have actionable takeaways to help them to do their job better.
We are also looking forward to two wonderful evening events at the conference. Our welcome dinner will take place on the Oceanview Terrace with spectacular views of the resort and ocean. We will enjoy our final night’s dinner event on the resort’s quarter-mile private Atlantic Ocean beach, complete with island music and a warm tropical climate.
